Deacon’s Ministry
The mission of the Deacon ministry at the Triumph Baptist Church is primarily one of serving, helping, and assisting in the house and kingdom of God by assuming responsibility for diverse labors and functions. Following the direction of the Holy Spirit and the biblical example set forth in Acts 6:1-6 the Deacon ministry’s objective is to free the Pastor from duties that might interfere or interrupt the ministry of prayer and the word to effectively allow the church to glorify God by winning souls for Christ.
In addition to dealing with church issues, the Deacon ministry’s function is to reflect the soul and senses of the Pastor, including articulating and embracing the Pastor’s vision of Evangelism, Education, Economic Empowerment, and Execution.
Lastly, serving in a visible manner such as being armor bearers for the Pastor, models of intercession, teachers of the word of God, assisting in the ordinances of communion and baptism, visiting the sick, evangelism, and relieving distress, our ultimate aim is to be role models for the Triumph congregation reflecting the love, wisdom, and spirit of our True Servant Model, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
