Is the United States of America committing suicide? Are we imploding? These are reasonable questions in view of how the “powers to be” are conducting themselves and governing our country. Our allies are “shaking their heads” in pity and our adversaries are “rejoicing” our downward turn!
This country’s “demise” is evidenced by efforts to reverse “hard fought for” voter’s rights, perpetuation of the lie that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen, further lie that the January 6th assault on the Capitol was not an insurrection (although witnessed worldwide), double standards in taxation and representation by representatives who’ve forgotten our mantra is “In God We Trust” not “in number 45 we must”! Truth is being trampled upon along with law and order. Freedom is no longer free for all –but only for the elite few! Although “number 45” is no longer in office, he and his cronies continue to spew vileness and seek to turn our democracy into a monarchy/kingdom. All of us must take a stance to be above the negativities spewn. Nevertheless, my people, do not be dissuaded. Stand firm on faith in the Word of God. He will not be mocked (Galatians 6:7). God is not a respecter of persons (Romans 29:11) and vengeance is His (Romans 12:19).
Speak up and speak out! Make all elected representatives be responsible for their position and actions. Because something is legislated to be legal doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to God. Know the difference between moral and immoral and choose to follow that which is godly. Be a godly witness! Seek the Lord in all your doing. Be part of the cure for restoration and not of the demise into doom. Pray for our country and its people. Pray that the violence that permeates our land will cease. Pray all people will seek the peace that our Lord provides. Pray without ceasing.
For you have been a stronghold to the poor,
