Order, rules and instructions are not new! In the beginning, God created the world in an orderly fashion and gave man dominion over it – with one rule (for man’s own good): But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: Genesis 2:17a. Man disobeyed and thus suffered the consequences of expulsion from the Garden of Eden and physical death!
During the plagues in Egypt, God gave instruction and warning: On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn male, both man and beast, and I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:12-13. Those who failed to heed, suffered the consequences – death of their first born!
Daily we face rules, guidelines, directions and regulations. The range include medicine containers listing proper dosages and possible side effects, ingredients in foods to safeguard those who may be allergic, weight limitation for exercise equipment and hours of operations and entry guidelines for businesses. Whether we’re on foot or in a mode of transportation, there are traffic rules to be followed. Failure to follow these directions may result in death! Rules, regulations, directions and instructions are meant for order, our good, protection and safety.
COVID 19 is still amongst us. For the wellbeing of all, follow the rules and guidelines that have been set to prevent the spread of and to eradicate this virus!

- Follow the guidelines of the ushers and attendants while in church.
